Since i am new to blogging was looking for an alternative to web browser page editor. It gets really messy and difficult at times to put images and align them in the post the way way you want.

Recently one of my friend Madhur an avid blogger, recommended me the Windows Live Writer, a better substitute. Well, this is not something new as this was released way back in 2006 and many senior blogger’s favorite since then. Most blogging tools are web based and not all allow WYSIWYG editing (you see on screen exactly how the blog post will look)

This can be helpful to those who are new to blogging and still using the Browser based editor. When you run this software for the first time post-installation the wizard will guide you to add the blog details like the username and password. For those who don’t have a blog and wish to create one can create using the wizard.

The shortcut keys F11 and F12 makes it easier to switch between the Web Layout and the Web Preview.

It also has the Auto save feature like the WordPress editor. Has multi-lingual support but being a Microsoft software again has ignored Mac platform.

The new Beta 3 version is out and ready for download. Download Here
