Google Docs PDF Viewer now in Gmail

December 14th, 2008

Earlier PDF attachments in Gmail were converted to HTML in order to read them without downloading them to your PC. During this translation the images were removed and was no fun reading PDF’s.

From now on PDF attachments in your mails will open in Google Docs PDF viewer. You can now zoom the documents and search for text in the document, but you will be able to view only first 100 pages. This will be good for those who use eFax, they can now open all their faxes directly in the mailbox if they don’t have Acrobat Reader or any other PDF viewer installed on their PC.
