Space age Samsung launch the stratosphere

Samsung-Stratosphere

After the recent Blackberry debacle, many mobile phone users are looking for a better alternative, and Samsungs timing could not have been more perfect as they recently launched the impressive Samsung Stratosphere. This very impressive phone (it needs to be with a name like that) has all the features a modern phone needs, plus some other cute features that are making a serious contender. If you are not yet ready to break into the world of tablet technology, and every Blackberry user you know is bemoaning unreliable technology, then this may be a phone worth looking at.

The phone is most definitely aimed at business professionals, and this is evident in the layout and impressive data capability. The phone relies on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, which is powered by Google, so you are guaranteed to get all of the impressive features that this powerhouse provided – Google, Google makes, Sybase data protection – it’s all part of the impressive package. Still not convinced? Now take a look at the broadband capabilities. The Stratosphere is claiming to be the world’s first 4G capable phone, which, in layman’s terms, means that you can connect to almost any kind of internet connection imaginable, and that downloading anything from documents to music is going to take seconds. The people of Samsung boast that, in a 4G area, you can download as much as 12Mbps, or alternatively upload information at 5Mbps. This is ideal for business professionals who don’t have a second to waste. And if you are on the move and don’t have time to type out an email or document, you can use the very functional 5 row QWERT keypad.
While this is all well and good, even businessmen have lives outside of work, and every guy likes to play on the features of his phone of choice. The Stratosphere seems to be capable in this regard too. It has a 4” HD screen, and two cameras (1.3 Megapixels and 5 Megapixels) respectively, which allow you to shoot and share high quality images and videos from anywhere. And if you’re an app addict, then you can go as crazy as a kid in a candy store with the Android App Market.
All in all this is a pretty formidable phone that bridges the gap between the aging phone market and the emerging tablet world. A great choice for the businessman, and definitely one to be watched!
