Most advanced computer users use USB pen drive to boot instead of using the hard-drive in some cases. this can be for running an antivirus program to scan hard disk without actually loading the operating system or to install new operating system. Also, if your Windows fails to load at startup and the F8 options won’t help then floppy, CD or USB is the only option left.

Netstat (network statistics) command is used to display the TCP/IP network connections, the port on which the computer is listening, the IP routing table, IPv4 statistics for common protocols and IPV6 statistics.
Netstat Viewer is a handy GUI replacement for the command line netstat command. Can be very useful to keep an eye on the connections and check whether some malware, spyware or Trojan trying to establish a connection in the background leaking some valuable information from your computer.
