5 Important On-Page SEO Tips

onpage-seo Usually, most website owners concentrate on off-page SEO techniques rather than on on-page SEO techniques. They have a wrong impression that it will be easier to attain a high rank in the search engines with the use of off-page techniques. Before you build backlinks to your website, there are things that you need to do first, and here they are:

Right keywords:

The use of keywords in your contents is probably the best way to optimize your site and be in a great position in the major search engines. You need to have a main keyword and minor keywords. For instance, your niche is all about mobile application, your main keyword will most likely be mobile phones. You have to consider all possible keywords about your niche. If you are not sure what keywords to use, you can utilize keyword research tools that are easily available for use. You may choose between free and paid keyword research tools. You may also conduct a thorough research on your own by simply thinking how your target consumers think.

Keywords on your Title:

If you want your web pages to be easily indexed by the search engines, you have to make sure that you place the keywords that you have chosen in your titles. It is also necessary that your keywords are found on your sub-titles. Apart from having the keywords in your titles, they must be interesting enough to attract web users.

Keywords on your image contents:

If you place images within your content, you have to make sure that they have the necessary descriptions. In your descriptions, you again have to include your keywords. If your images have no descriptions(alt tag), crawlers will only regard them as black content. It is also important that you name the images with something that is related to your business or website.

Description tags:

The description tags refer to the sentences that you get to read when you are searching for particular information on different search engines. They are made up of 2 to 3 sentences, and they are basically provided by the website owners. When composing description tags, you have to think of phrases that catch the attention of web users as well as including your keywords.

Internal linking:

When writing articles and content for your website, you should always remember the importance of internal linking. If you write a story about something that you’ve mentioned or written about in a different post or page, link to that post/page with a descriptive title tag.
